Meet Erik M. Breitling, Au.D., FAAA

Hello, I am Erik M. Breitling, Au.D., FAAA, welcome to my website.  I was born and raised in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area, and graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in sensation and perception.  Afterwards, I went on to San Francisco State University to earn a second Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Physiology.  Lastly, I attended the 4 year Doctor of Audiology residential program at the George S. Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania to earn my Au.D. degree.  My clinical training at Salus University included working with adult and geriatric patients as well as VA patients during rotations at ENT and private practices in Philadelphia, PA, Milledgeville, GA, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Northern California.

I am a licensed dispensing Audiologist in the state of California. This requires taking and passing the national audiology praxis exam. In order to dispense hearing aids in California, one must take and pass both a written and practical exam administered by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. I am a member of the California Academy of Audiology, a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and have held a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). My hobbies include being a lifelong automotive enthusiast, traveling, digital photography as well as building and modifying computers.
